Zeke Weiner Medals in Dighton

Golden Plains senior Zeke Weiner placed fourth in the 3200m run of the Dighton Invitational Track Meet on May 8. He ran a career-best time of 10:39.17 to score the only Bulldog team points of the meet.
Several of the boys set a PR at this large meet with 22 teams participating. All three boys running the 400m set a PR including Parker Vahling (56.37), Adam Ritter (59.39), Javier Romero 1:21.57). “We’ve supported each as a team well this year,” said Ritter. Both Kasch Buehler (13.64) and Nash Ziegelmeier (15.28) set a PR in the 100m and Diego Perez set a PR in the 200m (25.84) and a PR of 35’ 8” in Shot Put.
Kelby Buehler set a PR of 98’ 8” in Discus and A PR of 28’ 9” in Shot Put. “So far, so good,” said Buehler of the season. “We’ve had a lot of PR’s, but injuries have hurt the team. Hopefully we can set more PR’s at league.” The 4 x 100m relay team of Ritter, Tanner Black, Vahling, and Perez set a PR of 48.21 just missing out of scoring in 7th place. The 4 x 400m relay team of Black, Perez, Vahling, and Dylan Wark ran the best 4 x 400 time of the season at 4:02.94.
Additional results include: 1600m-Weiner 5:03.73, 800m-Ritter 2:23.97, 200m-Kasch Buehler 29.26, Discus-Romero 92’ 7”, Ziegelmeier 88’ 9”, Javelin-Kelby Buehler 87’ 4”, Romero 77’ 10”, Ziegelmeier 69’ 6”, Shot Put-Romero 28’ 3.25”, Long Jump-Vahling 16’ 4.25”. The boys will compete in the WKLL league meet in Oakley on May 14.
