Lady Bulldogs Improve at Oakley

The Golden Plains Lady Bulldogs continue to improve in their events and the Oakley Invitational on April 24 was no exception. The Lady Dogs scored a total of 25 points while setting several PR’s for the season.

Posting points for the Dogs was Brenlynn Rath who placed first in both Long Jump and Triple jump. She set a PR of 16’ 1” in long jump and jumped 37’ 1” in triple jump. Rath also set a PR of 13.75 in the 100m dash. Additional points were posted by Adilyn Meier as she set a PR of 2:45.86 for fourth place in the 800m run and a PR of 6:19.35 in the 1600m for sixth.

Elizabeth Romero set a PR in three of her events including 3200m 17:16.75, Long Jump 11’ 3”, and Triple Jump 27’ 1”. “Mrs. Fellhoelter pushed me to do better,” said Romero. “I plan to stride out as best I can to continue to improve.”

Also setting PR’s at Oakley were Lakin Wark-200m 34.64, High Jump 4’ 4”, Searee Bruggeman-3200m 15:58.63, Triple Jump 27’ 7”, Molly Ritter-High Jump 4’ 8”, and Katie Carter-Discus 70’ 1”.

The girls continue their season at the Quinter Invitational on May 1.
