Bulldogs Set Records at Oakley

The Golden Plains Bulldog track team set several new PR’s at the Oakley Invitational on April 24.

Dylan Wark set a new PR and School Record of 2:01.52 for first place in the 800m. Zeke Weiner set a new PR with a career best run of 5:03.09 in the 1600 for fourth place. Weiner also placed fourth in the 3200m run at 11:06.86.

Additional PR’s were set by Kasch Buehler in the 100m (13.99) and Kelby Buehler in the 100m (14.08). Kelby Buehler also set a PR of 28’ 7” in Shot Put and 100’ 5” in Javelin. “I felt good,” said Buehler. “They were all pretty good throws. They weren’t huge PR’s but they were still PRs.”

Diego Perez set a PR of 26.15 in the 200m and jumped a career best 36’ 5” in Triple Jump. Adam Ritter ran his best time of 2:22.95 in the 800m and Nash Ziegelmeier threw his season best of 28’ 6” in shot. A final PR was set by the 4 x 100m relay team of Parker Vahling, Tanner Black, Perez, and Ritter of 49.07.

Results for other events includes: 400m-Vahling 57.68, Black 1:00.41, 800m-Brandon Karnes 3:21.05, 1600m-Karnes 6:22.13, Long Jump-Perez 16’ 8”, Vahling 16’ 0”, Discus-Kelby Buehler 85’ 3”, Ziegelmeier 84’ 1”, Javelin-Ziegelmeier 69’ 11”, 4 x 400m Relay-Black, Ritter, Vahling, Wark 4:06.30.
