Lady Bulldogs Improve at Hill City

The Golden Plains Lady Bulldogs competed at the Hill City Invitational Track Meet on April 17. Even though it was cold and windy, the girls improved in several events.
Brenlynn Rath continues to dominate in triple jump as she placed first with a career-high PR jump of 37’ 1”. “I was super excited,” said Rath. “It was nice to know that I could do it. I knew this would be a tough meet with good competition. It really boosts my confidence.” She also placed fourth in Long Jump at 16’ 1”. Elizabeth Weiner placed fifth in the 3200m run at 12:40.02 and set a PR of 5:43.27 in the 1600m run for seventh.
Ellie Romero set a PR of 17:18.99 in the 3200m and a PR of 3:35.23 in the 800mAdilyn Meier set a PR of 2:47.13 in the 800m, Alicia Vargas set a PR in the 1600m of 7:23.85, and Searee Bruggeman set a PR of 7:15.16 in the 1600m. Katie Carter set a PR in Javelin of 60’ 9” and Addy Wessel set a PR in Discus at 65’ 4”.
Additional Field Event results include: High Jump-Jade Dible 4’ 6”, Molly Ritter 4’ 6”, Javelin-Wessel 56’ 7”, Shot Put-Wessel 24’ 10.5”, Long Jump-Bruggeman 11’ 7.75”, Triple Jump-Romero 25’ 9.5”, Bruggeman 27’ 0.25”.
Results from the track include: 100m-Dible 16.07, Ritter 15.80, Carter 16.55, 200m-Dible 32.91, Lakin Wark 35.31, Ritter 32.28, 400-Vargas 1:19.57, 800m-Vargas 3:15.83, 3200m-Bruggeman 15:57.77, 4 x 100m relay (Meier, Bruggeman, Ritter, Carter) 58.77, 4 x 400m relay (Carter, Meier, Rath, Weiner) 5:13.88. The girls continue their season at the Logan Invitational on April 21.
